A Temporary Home for WAC

WAC is temporarily making its home at the Salvation Army on Queen Street in Penzance, as we await a rebuild of our HQ on Treneere.

While we miss being on Treneere, there are advantages to being right in the middle of town We’ve been able to make new friends and new connections, and are now supplying cake to Whits & Bay coffee shop on Chapel Street - just a hop, skip and a jump from the Salvation Army.

So … what’s happening at WAC?

We are restarting our One Pot Wonder takeaway service on Friday 5 August. You can pre-order your OPW any time and pick up on Fridays from 12pm until 3pm at the Salvation Army. We have some amazing new recipes and would love you to give them a go!

Lizzie is delivering some soup demonstrations at The Centre in Newlyn through August. You’ll watch and learn, then enjoy a sociable soup lunch - and even take some soup home with you. If you’re interested, contact The Centre on 01736 365890.

We’re providing lunches for Cornwall Council’s Time2Move children’s programme at the Leisure Centre for the month of August. Look for Maggie or Lizzie transporting packed lunches from Queen Street to St Clare Street in our shopping trolley!

Stay tuned for updates about our upcoming workshops.

As always, we welcome volunteers. If you’d like to help Maggie in the kitchen on Fridays, please just drop us a line! info@wholeagaincommunities.co.uk
