£5,000 Donated by Charles Reynolds Foundation

Last week we received £5,000 from the Charles Reynolds Foundation to help build on the success of our virtual cooking workshops by delivering fresh ingredients and recipes to vulnerable families. Phoebe & Stephen of CJ Medical visited WAC on Wednesday 24 November to present the cheque and learn more about our wonderful organisation.

Phoebe commented, “It was fascinating to visit the local community and learn what the enterprise is all about. The organic garden (built from the ground up) is used to grow vegetables and fruits which are then up cycled into food boxes for the workshops. It was great to see a sense of community”.

Stephen added, “Whole Again Communities is a well-run and well needed support centre for the community. The food distribution and meal prep courses are obviously a great attribution to the local area. Additionally, WAC also provide a space for local children to learn how to work on and repair their push bikes and scooters which is a great skill for anyone to have. They also have an organic garden with plenty of opportunity for local children to be involved with planting, pruning, cropping, and general upkeep. WAC is an all-around safe space for children to learn and grow”.

We give massive thanks to the Charles Reynolds Foundation for this generous donation.
