Free Easter Break Activities at WAC!

If you’re looking for a fun family activity for the Easter break, why not come along to WAC?

On Tuesday 9th April, Tuesday 16th April and Thursday 18th April, we’ll be holding free Taster Workshops from 10am-2pm. Drop in and learn some cookery in our kitchen, enjoy a delicious lunch, have a go at planting up a decorated tin in our community garden, or help at our weekly Repair Cafe.

Bring the whole family! We’d love to see you!

First Open House of April!

WAC was a busy place on Tuesday!

We had some hard at work in the kitchen, others looking after our community garden and others repairing household goods and working on a new WAC garden shed!

It was all topped off by a delicious and healthy lunch of farinata and mixed salad using spinach and hot leaves from the garden. Green smoothies followed, made from lime, apple, cucumber and spinach.

Why not come and join us next Tuesday – or any Tuesday – from 10am until 12pm. We’d be happy to have you join our kitchen, gardening or Repair Cafe teams; or, if you’d rather not, then just join us for a lovely communal lunch. All are welcome.

Latest Cookery Courses for Children

This week marked the end of another lovely cookery course for children, funded by Children in Need.

Yesterday, our participants invented their own delicious WACCY pizza wraps.

We are so proud of the young people in our community and hope they all come back with their friends for our summer open house cooking workshops.

WACCY Souperstar 2018!

At today’s Christmas Open House, valuable team member John Olds was awarded the title of WACCY Souperstar for 2018!

Whole Again Communities Director Carol Brooking presented John with a certificate for his dedication to WAC, his hard work and his constant smile.

Congratulations, John!

We shared our Open House with Food for Families. Thank you to everyone who came out to help support us!
